This zine was written between Oct 2012- Feb 2013. It examines my relationship with ballet in context of its gendered history, historical racism and in relation to societal expectations about women's bodies. I talk about my mother pressuring me to continue to dance; about why I stopped taking ballet & how a childhood in a dance studio contributed to my femme identity.
